WHY SKIFF
A compact shelter built around real trip decisions
Start with the details that affect your trip: carrying weight, sleep space, setup location, and long-term care.

39.7 lb / 18 kg Carry Weight
At 39.7 lb (18 kg), Skiff is easier to carry, store, and move off the vehicle between trips. Use a safe lifting method suited to your vehicle and rack.

Compact Family Sleep Space
The 220 x 145 cm sleep system is designed for 2-3 sleepers. Check occupant size, bedding, and available room before planning your trip.

Four Flexible Setup Locations
Use the fully inflatable design for rooftop, ground, balcony, or protected indoor setups when the surface and conditions are suitable.

Modular, Serviceable Design
The tent body, air beams, mattress, and accessories use a modular design. Individual components can be inspected, repaired, or replaced through the documented support process.

Comfort Sleep Space. Better Airflow.
The Skiff sleep system measures 220 x 145 cm with a 25 cm inflatable mattress and is intended for 2-3 sleepers. Your final layout depends on occupant size, bedding, and personal comfort.
Mesh openings support airflow and insect protection. Keep vents clear and follow the handbook guidance for ventilation and condensation management.

Check the Roof System—not Just the Vehicle Type
Skiff Tent can suit cars, SUVs, pickups, vans, and trailers when the vehicle has an approved rack or platform. Compatibility depends on the complete roof system, not the body style alone.
Before ordering: verify the vehicle roof-load limit, rack approval, crossbar spacing, attachment points, and the total installed weight. If you are unsure, send your year, make, model, and clear roof/rack photos.
SETUP & PACK DOWN
A clear setup and pack-down sequence
Follow the same four checks every time: inspect, inflate, attach, then dry and store. The sequence keeps the setup repeatable without adding new theme components.

Step 1 · Inspect and Unfold
Choose a clean, level area. Remove sharp objects, unfold the tent, and inspect the fabric, valves, straps, and rack before inflation.

Step 2 · Inflate and Wait
Inflate the air beams and the mattress to 6-7 PSI. Close every valve securely and recheck as temperature changes.

Step 3 · Lift, Attach, and Recheck
Use assistance for roof placement unless a safer verified lifting method is available. Secure the webbing and recheck each attachment point.

Step 4 · Deflate, Dry, Fold, and Store
Release pressure, keep hardware clear of the fabric, dry the tent fully, fold evenly, and return it to the storage bag.

Use It Flexibly—Within Clear Boundaries
Primary use: rooftop camping on a verified vehicle and rack system. Clean, level ground or protected indoor use is possible when the mattress is shielded from sharp objects.
Consider water use only when the current instructions, local rules, conditions, and appropriate flotation equipment allow it. Skiff is not rescue equipment. Never use it in current, waves, severe weather, high wind, or heavy rain; dry it fully before packing.
Read the handbook carefully before use or contact us at service@playdotent.com.
BEFORE YOU ORDER
Skiff FAQ: fit, options, setup, and safety
Use these answers to confirm the roof system, choose the right variant, plan setup, and understand care limits before ordering.
Do not decide from vehicle type alone. Verify the vehicle roof-load limit, an approved rack or platform, crossbar spacing, attachment points, and the total installed weight. If unsure, send your year, make, model, and roof/rack photos before ordering.
At 18 kg, Skiff is easier to carry than many rigid rooftop tents, but roof placement still depends on vehicle height and a safe lifting method. Use assistance whenever the lift, rack, or vehicle position makes solo handling unsafe.
Follow the handbook guidance for the air beams and mattress. Do not over-inflate, and recheck pressure as ambient temperature changes.
Weather-resistant fabric does not remove the need for safe operating limits. Do not use Skiff in high wind, heavy rain, extreme climates, or as a long-term outdoor shelter. Check the forecast and exit early when conditions deteriorate.
Ground and protected indoor use require a clean, level surface with the mattress protected from sharp objects. Consider water use only when current product instructions, local rules, conditions, and appropriate flotation equipment allow it. Skiff is not rescue equipment and must not be used in current, waves, severe weather, or other hazardous water.
Stop using the tent, move it to a clean safe area, check the valves and affected component, and follow the repair-kit instructions. Contact Playdo support for seam, valve, or structural damage outside the documented repair process.
The base kit includes the tent with dust cover, four 6 m webbing straps, manual air pump, outer storage bag, shoe pouch, and repair kit. Retractable ladder and electric air pump availability follows the selected variant.
Skiff includes a 1-year manufacturer warranty for manufacturing issues affecting the air-column or tent fabric. Contact service@playdotent.com for product support.
